Traditionally, January has been a quiet month at MING but if there’s one thing we’ve established since inception, it’s that we’re not very good at tradition. This year has had a busy start - from shipping out most of the Bluefin pre-orders (with the remaining going out over the next few weeks), to presenting the 37.09 Uni and announcing our first events for the year and first retail partner in the US - Collective Horology.
Some of you may have also seen snippets on Instagram from a new series of videos, where MT takes a closer look and walks you through the highlights of our recent release. You can find the full videos below.
We have one more new thing to round off the month - our Mango FKM Rubber Strap. This new colour way pairs well with our monochromatic watches like the 37.02 Minimalist and 37.09 Uni, and is a great way of brightening up your winter!
We’re also taking a detour to look at one of our other interests - mechanical keyboards - and MT’s personal take on it. Read on for more.
Until next month,
Team MING
Welcoming Collective Horology!
Earlier this week, we welcomed Collective Horology to the extended MING family, as our first authorised retailers in the US. We met Gabe & Asher via fellow AHA-member Joshua Shapiro and hit it off almost immediately.
This announcement, together with our new Swiss facility and introduction of a core collection, marks a significant milestone for MING and enables us to extend the MING experience offline.
To celebrate, we’re hosting events in Los Angeles and San Francisco next week and we have a few spots remaining. Come join us, say hello and check out the Uni and other watches in the metal. Details and link to RSVP below!

By popular request, we’re extending a format of video we debuted with the LW.01 where MT talks about some of the key design and engineering considerations. This month, we’re taking a look at the Minimalist and Bluefin.

To boldly go where no one has gone before
What happens when you take a quest for ergonomic comfort, a desire for an enjoyable tactile experience, access to 3D printing and machining, and combine it with a platform engineered for customisability?
MT started off looking for a more ergonomic keyboard option, and quickly fell down the rabbit hole (aided by a couple other team members) until he found a very promising base in the ZSA Moonlander and Voyager keyboards.
Check out his custom setup - complete with machined aluminium keycaps.
With over five ZSA keyboards among the team, it’s clear we love what they’re doing over there and wanted to highlight them for anyone else interesting in mechanical keyboards.
